A new addition to Nikon’s Point-and-Shoot cameras is the COOLPIX S60, which as all the COOLPIX S-series features a relatively small size with large LCD displays. Yet what makes the S60 special is that this new camera has only two buttons which are located on the top, the first is the on/off button while the second is the shutter, everything else is done through the camera’s large touch screen LCD display on the back, the screen also allows for a ‘Retouch Function’ where you can scribble notes or drawings on an image with a small stylus.
The COOLPIX S60 features 10 megapixels, 5x optical zoom, optical VR stabilization, HD Pictmotion slide shows, smile shutter and blink warning, and an ISO settings up to 3200.
Nikon has remastered the autofocus and auto-exposure functions which allow you to select a subject in the display, the camera will then automatically track and keep properly exposed and in focus.
Estimated price will run around $350, so ask the dealer when they will have this model in the market.
