Since Apple released their astonishing new MacBook Air, everyone was debating whether it would be the all in all ultimate machine. So we decided to take a closer look at that sexy device to give you the What’s Up take on it.

Once you receive a MacBook Air, you will notice the great depth Apple went to in creating the box, and that is one thing Apple has truly mastered. The MBA (MacBook Air), comes in a small box that resembles the iPod touch or the iPhone’s box. Rich and slick is how it looks and feels.

When uncovering it, you will find the MBA laid on a tray just like the iPod touch/ iPhone. Under the tray you will find everything you will need from charging cable, disks, cleaning cloth, and documentation.

The MacBook Air is extraordinary thin, it is so thin that you can’t even believe that it is a computer. The surface of the device is made out of Aluminum, which gives it a solid touch and feel. Yet you will notice how light the MBA weighs once you lift it out of the box.

The MacBook Air comes preloaded with Mac OS X, and the iLife suite, that said you can run Windows Vesta or XP by the Mac’s side if you decide to install that, and would run at an impressive high speed since the MBA sports a special Intel Core 2 Due processor.

Rather than that, it is stacked with 2 GB of RAM (out of the box) which is not upgradable.

Depending on the model you can get either a 1.6 GHz or a 1.8 GHz processor, with the option of either an 80GB hard disk or 64GB Solid State disk which givers you faster access to info.

If you’re always on the go, the MBA has a built in iSight camera, which makes it a great device for online conferencing. Another great feature about the MacBook Air is the 5 hours battery life it can provide, so you can spend those long European flights finishing work.

Although the MacBook Air is the world thinest notebook, it has a full-size backlit keyboard with ambient light sensor for automatic adjustment of keyboard illumination and screen brightness, again great on flights.

So the question would be, should you get one?

The answer, it really depends, if you want the MacBook Air to be your full fledge computer then we would recommend you getting another Mac or PC.

Yet if this is your secondary PC (Macs are Personal Computers) then this is a great product for you, since you can take it with you anywhere you go, it is light, durable, and gorgeous, a true eye-turner.

What will you get?

A Built-in iSight camera.

13.3” Bright LED widescreen.

Wifi IEEE 802.11n (802.11a/b/g compatible).

Bluetooth 2.1+ EDR

Weighs 1.36 Kg

What you don’t get?

CD/DVD ROM. Yes, that is true you don’t get that, you can buy a special external drive to do that, yet you can also use Wifi to grab stuff off a CD or DVD from another Windows PC or Mac.

What We Think?

If you’re always on the go traveling, then nothing beats this device, although the price is a bit steep, but hey who said cool doesn’t cost.
